DPL’s Class C Category Covers High-Speed Deep Color HDMI Products

ORMOND BEACH, FL – AUGUST 12, 2008 – DPL Laboratories, Inc. (DPL Labs), the industry’s leading digital technology performance testing center, announced today that it has released Digital Performance Level ratings (DPL ratings) on several HDMI™ cable products from Honeywell International including DPL’s first “5” or “best” rating in their Class C testing category. DPL’s Class C testing category covers high-speed, Deep Color HDMI products.

In order to better track and report on the performance of the ever expanding HDMI™ product universe, DPL has created three testing classifications under which submitted products will be tested and rated. The definition of these classifications is shown below:

Several Direct Connect models rate highly; one model achieves DPL program’s highest rating 

ORMOND BEACH, FL – June 13, 2008 – DPL Laboratories, Inc. (DPL Labs), the industry’s leading technical laboratory engaged in testing and certifying the performance of advanced digital technologies such as HDMI™, today released its first set of performance ratings for HDMI™ cable products. The first cables tested by DPL Labs as part of its Digital Performance Level Program were submitted by DirectConnect, a Houston, TX-based manufacturer of high quality custom integration products. DirectConnect submitted several HDMI™ cables for testing, with one of their submissions – a one-half meter HDMI™ cable – achieving DPL’s highest performance rating of 5 on a scale of 1-to-5 from good-to-best.
